My experience as a CKNW Talk Show Idol Contestant
The Talk 2 Tina Show is not over it is just getting started
When I write that you can do anything that you want regardless of your learning style I truly do understand that it is easier said then done for I am my own biggest obstacle. I have even gone as far as naming it “my dead horse that I drag around” or “the chip on my solder that has grown so big that I need an extra seat for it” exactly get over it.
As I set bigger challenges for myself I have learned that the mistakes that I could have made and did make increase in size along with the risk of failure. I am beginning to overlook what has held me back in the past. I am letting go of the shame that has prevented me from thinking that I was able to succeed.
I feel a little silly sometimes for letting my reading ability prevent me from living my life to the fullest. I also feel sad for anyone that feels bad because of there reading ability.
So I am slowly learning that if my reading ability is the only thing that frightens me and is preventing me from making my dreams a reality … then look out world because I am getting over myself.
More lessons that I learned from being a CKNW Talk Show Idol Contestant
Make sure that you have your shoes with you at all times even if it is radio because they can see you now
Always get a confirmation about on-air time or any other details that are bugging you… even if you feel like you are pestering the person with the information …Telephone Tag is ok
Never underestimate your ability to have guests agree to be on your show and end up with more people then you have time to interview respectfully and
Do not ever ask only one person the answer to an important question…
