(Almost) everything you always wanted to know about students who learn differently but didn’t get around to ask

- how you can bring out the gifts in children with cognitive disabilities?
The Society for Immediate Awareness of Alternative Learning founder ,Tina McInerney an alternative learner herself, and Isabella Mori BA, RPC, a professional counsellor, bring you an informative and fun noon-hour presentation to provide a glimpse into the minds of people with “learning disabilities” (well, we like to call them “alternative learners”).
Our presentation …
- gives you hands-on experience on what it feels like to be a different learner
- talks candidly about the emotional experience of being an alternative learner
- demonstrates some of the unique abilities and other treasures we find in alternative learners
- points out resources, strategies and other opportunities for support to teachers who have students who are alternative learners
- and provides an opportunity to ask questions and make comments
